It’s impossible to summarize in few words why Rome has been named caput mundi for it’s historical and monumental importance. It is undoubtable that Rome can be considered the eternal city thanks to its buildings, monuments and ruins. What follows is just a brief description of some of them.

The Colosseum is the most important and imposing Roman amphitheatre that we can admire. It could hold up to 50,000 spectators.

The Pantheon, built in 27-25 B.C., was a temple consecrated to the gods of all religions. It has the largest stone dome in the history of architecture.

The Trevi Fountain, built in the 18th century, is one of the symbol of Rome. The legend says that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain while standing with their back to the fountain, they are ensured a return to the city of Rome.

Tourists that already know Rome can discover some characteristic corners of the city that usually they have no time to visit during their first stay in the city. What follows is just a brief description of some of them.

The Aventino is one of the legendary seven hills of Rome. It is relevant for its beauty and its magnificent churches.

The Suburra (today known as Monti District) was the most popular area of the ancient Rome. Its streets, workshops, markets make this district one of the most characteristic in Rome. Did we forget something? Oh yes... the St. Peter's Basilica! But it doesn’t need a description!
